What You Can Expect from Biking Downhill Road Above Chiang Mai

From our shop located in the center of the city, our truck loaded with bikes embarks on a journey to the top of Doi Pui Mountain also known as Doi Suthep at an altitude of 1550 m. From here after getting set up, we find our self cruising on bikes down the Doi Suthep National Park on a smooth tarmac road. Our first stop is a Hmong Hill Tribe Village where artwork can be admired and locals going on their way.

After a stop at the Queen Summer Palace at the summit and views to the west of the mountain range, we continue the magnificent must-see Doi Suthep Temple. The 300 steps or a ride in the train separate us now from one of the holiest places 1000m above Chiang Mai. The magnificent temple takes our breath away only to be topped by the fantastic views this location offers of Chiang Mai in the Mae Ping Valley. Lunch never tasted so good at this altitude. Fully refreshed we continue riding downhill Chiang Mai, not without stopping on the numerous lookouts on the way down. Itinerary

• 09:00am – 09:30am Pick you up from the hotel in Chiang Mai Town.
• 09:45am Drop off at the shop for sign-up and bike and gear fitting.
• 10:30am Drive to the starting point at Doi Suthep Summit.
• 11:30am Safety briefing at the summit and ride downhill on road to the Hmong Hill Tribe Village.
• 12:00pm At the Hmong Village (care to shop some arts and craft?). Learn the culture and way of life of the Hmong Tribe and even take home some of their creations!
• 12:30pm Our support vehicle is standing by to assist uphill by truck.
• 01:00pm Fantastic downhill riding (cruising past the Royal Summer Garden Palace) enjoying the viewpoints.
• 01:30pm Arrival at the Doi Suthep Temple(Wat Phra That Doi Suthep), lunchtime!
• 02:00pm The 300 steps up to the Doi Suthep Temple marveling at amazing Thai history and incredible views of the valley.
• 03:00pm Time to cruise downhill to Chiang Mai Town with plenty of viewpoints stops on the way.
• 03:45pm Return to your hotel.
