What You Can Expect from Full Day Elephant Sanctuary Chiang Mai

Welcome To Maeklang Elephant Sanctuary in Chiang Mai. Where You Can Tour Our Best Jungle Elephant Conservation Camp. Be part of Maeklang Elephant Conservation Community and help us support the local community and preserve elephants, wildlife, and the local environment. Our Elephant Sanctuary rescue center is situated near Chiang Mai on the banks of the Maeklang River, the source of which is Doi Inthanon, Thailand’s highest mountain just a few kilometers from the center.

We do this by providing elephant tours from our camp that provide people with the chance to interact and learn more about elephants which helps us rescue more elephants with our elephant program. Part of your day is set aside not only to learn about elephants but also how we are promoting better farming practices to local farmers. During your visit, you will meet our elephants, feed, bathe and enjoy a mud spa with them in our elephant conservation while being involved in our community program. More Nature and Parks Tour From Chiang Mai.

Itinerary

• 07:00am – 07:30am Pick you up from the hotel in Chiang Mai Town
• 07:30am Drive into Mae Wang district around 1.5 hours through beautiful countryside, forest, and local farming areas.
• 09:00am Arrive at Maeklang Elephant Conservation Community. Walk through and learn about the elephants, change into traditional clothing.
  • Brief Intro to get knowledge about elephants
  • Clean food for elephants and meet, feed our family of elephants
  • Take elephants to mud pit for the body scrub and wash off elephants in the fresh mountain river
  • Shower time then grab some lunch.
  • Collect food from around our land for the elephants.
  • Make vitamins for the elephants (part of the elephants daily care)
  • Take elephants for a walk and bathing.
• 05:00pm Leave Maeklang Elephant Conservation Community and back to Chiang Mai. Drop off at your hotel or accommodation.

• At the Park, we will allow you to spend as much time as possible with the elephants. Therefore, there is no formal schedule and aside from pick-up times, the times shown here are approximations.
• This is a joint tour, the operator will be picking up each guest in order, so please kindly wait patiently at your hotel. If waiting for too long, please contact the operator immediately.
