Phuket Elephant Sanctuary is the first and only ethical elephant sanctuary in Phuket where elephants roam around, bathe and socialize freely across 30 acres of lush, tropical land bordering the Khao Phra Thaeo National Park in North East Phuket. We buy all rescued elephants to ensure that Phuket Elephant Sanctuary is their final home, and we offer professional veterinary care for old and injured elephants. By visiting us, you are supporting a sustainable, ethical and compassionate approach to elephant tourism where elephants have the freedom to live naturally.

What You Can Expect from Phuket Elephant Sanctuary Experience

A half-day tour with the elephants is an eye-opening and inspiring experience. Following a scenic drive along with a local village, you will arrive at Phuket Elephant Sanctuary, a picturesque jungle dotted with ponds, wide-open fields, and hillsides for the elephants to roam around. Your visit starts at our Tree Top Reception and Observation Platform, where we will show you a presentation and educational video to prepare you for your encounter with the elephants, and to help you understand why they need to be protected. Next up, you will feed the elephants. While they enjoy their baskets of bananas, pineapples and cucumbers, you have a chance to learn from our guides about the background of each elephant.

Once the elephants are fed, we walk with them down into the jungle. By keeping a safe distance and watching them from our Observation Salas, the elephants have the freedom to express their natural behavior, from bathing and playing in our pond to socializing with each other. Our top priority is the well-being of the elephants. As such, we do not offer rides, shows, bathing, trunk hugging, elephant kisses, sitting on or lying on the elephants, loud noisy groups, or people crowding around the elephants. Itinerary

• 09:30am or 01:30pm Meeting point at our office in Paklok
• Transfer in our vehicles to the Tree Top Reception
• Presentation & educational video about our work and elephant wellbeing
• Meet and feed the elephants
• Walk with the elephants, observe as they roam, bathe, play and socialize
• Vegetarian/vegan Thai buffet with complimentary filtered water, coffee, tea, and soft drinks at our Tree Top Reception with time to rest, relax, and enjoy the tranquility and beauty of our sanctuary
• 01:00pm or 05:00pm Return to our office in Paklok

Additional Information

• Child ticket age between 4-12 years.
• The entrance fee does not include transportation to and from the Phuket Elephant Sanctuary.
• On the rare occasion that we should be required to cancel the Phuket Elephant Sanctuary Experience. We will inform you in advance and offer a different tour date, an alternative tour or provide a full refund.

• Or, you can also get picked up from anywhere in Phuket.
• Joined roundtrip transfers from any accommodation in the Phuket province and back to the same location are available at a 500 baht surcharge per adult (250 baht for children below 12 / free for children below 4).
• Please plan to meet your tour guide at your hotel lobby at least 10 minutes prior to the scheduled pick-up time
