DONu2019T GO!
Simply unorganised and terrible. First of all, the trip by car from Phuket is extremely long (we are talking about 3-4 hours). Nothing bad to say about turtle conservation centre - you can look at turtles that are different ages, they are displayed in open bathtub-like areas. Then we went to bamboo rafting. Even though the rafting itself was amazing, and we even got to see things like snakes, the waiting time was terrible compared to rafting time (we waited around 20-30 minutes and then we rafted for around 20 minutes. ) Worst part about rafting was getting your clothes completely wet (at least the bottom part) as it caused some inconveniences, so get ready for that since the guide instructs you to leave all your belongings in car and doesnu2019t inform you to change your clothing to bathing suits or other clothes that you donu2019t mind getting wet. We also needed to wait around 20mins before traveling to lunch (at least we got a coconut dessert treat during this waiting time). The travel to lunch took around 40 minutes, food itself was quite good. We didnu2019t want to support unethical elephant trekking so we didnu2019t buy that activity while ordering the trip, however, elephant bathing was included. Unfortunately, the guide treated us quite rudely and didnu2019t want to let us go with our group that had bought both trekking and bathing to bathe the elephant and said that we needed to pay 250 bath each if we wanted to go. Literally had to argue that it is included in our tickets. The bathing was ok, but the treatment of elephants is simply disgusting, it was painful to look at the poor exploited things. I realise it is a bigger issue that needs to be adressed differently and probably wonu2019t change for auite a while, but donu2019t support these sort of places by traveling through the Sawasdee travel company. After that, we needed to wait (again :) )while other members of our group drove the ATMs, the waiting area was extremely loud and our clothes were still completely wet. After waiting for around 30 minutes, we were taken to see monkey cave and the temple. Unfortunately, the temple was closed and the monkeys were sleeping so we saw nothing. At least the scenery was nice. The trip back home was just as long and tiring as the trip in the morning. In conclusion - save your precious time in Thailand and either go to other tours or spend time near the sea. In all the cases, you will spend your time better than we did during this trip. Unless you love sitting in the car. Then you will enjoy it.
Bamboo Rafting Trip
Not sure about reviews that weren't positive. We went two days ago, January 31, 2023.nWe were picked up on time from our hotel. Our first stop was Monkey Cave. You have to pay 20 baht to go in cave with a temple/reclining buddha. you don't have to go inside. you can walk around and feed the monkeys that are very spoiled. We then went to an area where those that wanted to ride an elephant could do so. We didn't, but we walked aorund and saw elephants up close, didn't have to pay a thing while others were riding. We then went up to a national park where they have river rafting, ATV riding, and the waterfall. The waterfall wasn't much, but it felt good to swim. People went ATV riding. We had lunch and hung out. It was great. Lunch was soup, chicken, some thai dishes, overall really good. From there we went to turtle conservatory, OK, Gentleman there was very passionate about what he was doing and we enjoyed the sime there. Finally, bamboo rafting. Interesting how the owner explained things to us and served us coffee. We spent 30-40 minutes on raft. Our guide allowed us to jump in river. Great time. The worse part of whole trip was ride home. 2 hours. Rough, but no way around it as you are north of Phuket Island.
Bad
I have waited for so long for other people to finish activities that was not in my trip program.nnThe company rented one bus with different company tours to cut cost and ended up with us going to other tours locations and wait for hours.nnOur tour was supposed to finish at 3:30 but finished at 07:30nnI request for a refund
Poor
Tour operator took us on a different tour than what we signed up for. They told us to sit and wait for the other people to do their tours. We sat for over 3 hours waiting for the other tours to finish. They did not offer jungle treck to water fall. We were charged extra to go to the monkey cave. nSafety measures were poor. No life jackets, no safety instructions, I was injured and they didnu2019t have a first aid kit. We were given drinking water once all day. At lunch, they took us one hour into the hills to a elephant base camp. They did not have enough food. Four people had to share one lunch.
Not worth it
Firstly this trip is not what it makes out to be, there was no jungle treck for 30 minutes they combine this trip with other tours so you end up just waiting for other people to finish the activities they have booked all in all we other got 20 mins at the waterfall, 30 mins on bamboo raft and about 10 mins with monkeys. Better off booking elsewhere!!
Bamboo rafting is amazing
The bamboo rafting itself was so great that I give it a 4/5, but the rest of the day was spent wondering around waiting for other people to do stuffnIf you want to pay extra 500baht for ATV - good for you, you will do that during the daynnBut I went riding ATV the day before on another tour so I just had to wait for everyone nThe same thing with elephant riding and bathingnThey donu2019t have that on this tour included so you either pay 500baht extra or just wait while everyone else is having some good time nnBasically we finished bamboo rafting at ~12pmnBut I got to my hotel at 7pmnnSo 7 more hours either spent in the car or waiting nnBut on the other hand THE BAMBOO RAFTING IS AMAZING and it is a must if you are in ThailandnMy guide was the best, he showed me two snakes and frogs/fish/butterflies whatever nHe was very invested yet not annoyingnSuper nice nnI was going solo and there was also 1 family of three and two guy friendsnnThe others didnu2019t see no snakes no nothing, but I got lucky with the guide and shout out to himnThank younnThey also had us try local Coffee and some local lot fruit which was interesting nnIn overall the first part of the whole tour was so great that I would still recommend itnnIf you didnu2019t try ATV card and elephant riding and you want to - tis tour will be perfect for you!(just bring 1000baht with you)nnAlso you can buy a photo they take of you on that bamboo thing for 200baht and so far it is the best styled photo out of all the tours Iu2019ve been to
Donu2019t waste your money.
Very small group of 3 people (me, my partner and another girl) which then met a larger group at their base for lunch and afternoon activities. nnBamboo rafting was amazing with the option to buy a printed out photo in a frame for 250 THB at the end. (5 stars for the guys that ran that activity).nnWaterfall was underwhelming and a small one based at the companies activity camp, not anything special or memorable. There was no u201cjungle treku201d as such. Lots of waiting around for other members of the group to do other activities or for other reasons.nnA girl on our group booked the elephant bathing etc but did not want to do it, the elephant experience was completely unethical, from what we could see- they were whipping the elephants, had people riding on their backs and chains around their ankles. It was really upsetting to see and frustrating for us that we had supported a company that was encouraging this (they asked us a number of times to go ride and u2018batheu2019 with them in the river, we absolutely said no). nnMonkey temple was OK, 20 THB entry fee. nnThe driver was lovely but he did not drive safe at all and it was actually very scary.nnNot worth the money, would have been quite happy heading back after the bamboo rafting and ending the day on a high.
The tour guide was very nice and very friendly
It took a lot of photos for us~ The scenery was also quite good, and the food was delicious compared to the food. The drive was a bit too long and it all left Phuket. The bamboo raft will seep through the water and remember to choose the right shoes and socks, but the process is quite beautiful. It is eager to find wild animals for you to see, and to use bamboo boiled water to make tea, and open your eyes! There is no rubbish on the river surface and we feel the splendor of nature.
Lieblos und langweilig
Leider hat uns der Ausflug insgesamt nicht wirklich u00fcberzeugt. Die ganze Tour verlief ziemlich lieblos. 80% der Zeit (ca. 6 Stunden) verbrachten wir im Minivan und wurden von A nach B gekarrt. Dann hiess es 20 Minuten Affen fu00fcttern und (!) Tempelbesichtigung, 20 Minuten Wasserfall anschauen, 20 Minuten Schildkru00f6ten-Farm besuchen usw.. Danach wieder in den Van und wieder 1 Stunde in der Gegend rumkurven. Das wurde mit der Zeit doch ziemlich anstrengend! Ausserdem war der Van in keinem guten Zustand. Die Federung hat schon bessere Zeiten erlebt. Jede Bodenwelle verpasste uns einen Schlag in den Ru00fccken. Die Klimaanlage funktionierte zwar, ku00fchlte aber kaum. Und beim Armaturenbrett des Fahrers haben 2 Warnleuchten angezeigt. Eine davon hat ein Problem mit dem Motor angezeigt. Schlussendlich hat uns der Fahrer allerdings ohne Zwischenfu00e4lle zuru00fcck in unser Hotel gebracht. nDie Reisefu00fchrerin hat uns so gut wie gar nichts erklu00e4rt und war einzig dafu00fcr da, die Leute wieder einzusammeln und uns mitzuteilen, dass wir die nu00e4chste Stunde wieder im Van verbringen mu00fcssen. Essen gab es erst ganz am Schluss der Tour, d.h. gegen 14.00 Uhr. Ohne eigenes Fru00fchstu00fcck im Hotel hu00e4tten wir mit unserem 7-ju00e4hrigen Kind ein Problem gehabt. nEinzig die Bambus-Rafting-Tour war wirklich schu00f6n und so, wie wir uns das vorgestellt hatten. Schu00f6n gemu00fctlich den Fluss entlang cruisen, ohne grossartige Action.
Superschu00f6ne Tour.
Wir haben viel gesehen und erlebt. Angefangen mit der Fu00fctterung der Affen, Besichtigung der Monkeycave, Baden im Wasserfall, Besuch des Turtle Rescue Centers und dem unglaublich schonen Bamboorafting. Sehr freundlicher Guide, super Fahrer, kleine Gruppe. Daumen hoch. ud83dudc4d Sehr zu empfehlen.

Moi qui suis sensible au bien u00eatre animal cela m'a un peu refroidie d'attendre 20min qu'ils aient fini leur petit tour de cirque.nToutes les autres activitu00e9s u00e9taient top !
