Not worth the money

There was information that drinking water and fruits are included. But no drinking water was provided! Maya beach - tourist trap and that is where we spend most of the time. You are not allowed to swim there and it is crowded. Snorkling is not as expected - bad value for money. And just 30-40 min in total of snorkeling. And one more thing - you are asked to meet in McDonalds. And then they take you to sort of long boats pier and you have to wait 30 min unfer the sun as there are no shades anywhere. I had similar activity 4 years ago and it was totally different experience.

At best, average

There was nothing particularly wrong with this trip, however it did not impress as much as I thought visiting the islands would. The tour felt very rushed; we were constantly in and out of the boat with little time to relax and enjoy the scenery. We were only given one bottle of water for the entire trip (6 hours) which wasn’t sufficient. Had we known, we would have bought our own but it did say that water would be provided. The tour guides were lovely and friendly but not particularly informative (we learnt little to no information about where we were actually visiting). The longboats were very crammed with about 16 people in each boat. It felt difficult to move around the boat with grace and decorum, let alone be able to see the views. Unfortunately, because the boat was so busy, it meant that lots of passengers had real attitude problems and made the boat an unpleasant place to be. In future, I would definitely pay extra for a private tour of the islands.

Wouldn't book again.

My boat crew was beyond rude to everyone. They were constantly yelling at one another or other boats and guests. We were never able to move fast enough to make them happy and when I asked the lady to clarify the pick up location she shooed me and yelled I don't understand then yelled at another thai lady. Everywhere we stopped was CRAMMED full of people. Not relaxing or enjoyable.

Definitely worth it

Everything went according to the plan. The guide even went an extra mile and swam with the group to show where sharks can be seen while snorkelling. One of the best experiences I had in Thailand!

Good experience

Nice experience. We were taken to some nice places and great assistance. They tried to explain us what everything was and gave us options throughout the trip.

Scary, dangerous and a waste of money.

This was a complete waste of money- avoid. First we went to monkey beach, which was completely crowded with other boats, rubbish floating in the water just horrible. Then we went to Maya Bay for snorkelling which was nice. After this we were supposed to go to viking cave, we hit extremely bad waves and the boat was rocking horrendously from side to side, up and down, we all got completely soaked (which was okay considering we were on a snorkelling trip) however it began to get very scary and dangerous, the driver just kept going faster and I honestly thought we were going to capsize, not a fun experience. I know they can’t control the weather but on the way to this area another boat driver told our driver that it was very wavy and he went anyway. We then watched the non existent sunset from a random bay with nothing there. They told us we could snorkel but the water was full of jellyfish. We spent about 1.5 hours sitting on the boat doing nothing while the other boat drivers serviced the boat engines, which was extremely loud. We had to tow another boat as it broke down. Plankton was interesting and cool. I would say to check the weather forecast and make sure the boat has life jackets etc before going on this trip, I would take a bigger boat if I were you. We didn’t feel like we got to see what we signed up for. We did not feel safe and did not enjoy it.
