What tour guide?

The tour guide never introduced herself. When we made a stop we were the last to crawl out from the back. Being older we were slow to catch up to the group as the guide did not wait. When we did reach the group, she was already finishing her explanation of the location.nFortunately the driver was always there to assist us and point us in the right direction. Temples were lovely and made the trip a three star.

Nice places

Travelling can be made a little better since they are hilly areas. The guide was very good and caring about her passengers..!

AMAZING!!

Thanks to MM my friend and I had a great time at the white and blue temples. We also had the chance to visit the black house and the longneck tribe. MM made sure we get all the details beforehand, when we took the ride to the sights, so we didnu2019t lose any time to when we were there. She was very fun to talk to and had very big knowledge which she lovely shared with us. Thank you very much!!! It was a pleasure to meet you :) best regards Marvin and Jessica

Thai cooking class

I love Thai food and think I do an adequate job preparing Thai food at home. This class was an immersion experience into Thai cooking, literally from the ground up. nThe class started with an introduction to the dishes that could be made by each participant. Of course Pad Thai and Spring Rolls were on the menu. I did not expect that making red, green or Khao soi curries from scratch. nA trip to the market allowed to see and touch ingredients and helped me to understand what to look for when shopping back home, even if I couldnu2019t read the labels. nThe half day trip included a trip to a local farm, where many of the ingredients used in Thai cooking are grown. The actual cooking took place in an outdoor kitchen with individual cooking stations. Our instructor, Katie, supervised and oversaw the groupu2019s cooking with step by step instructions for each of 5 dishes. The best part was eating the dishes that each of us had prepared at a community table. nThis class is not just watching and observing cooking but actually making your own Thai food with a watchful eye from start to finish.

Amazing Experience

I really enjoyed the store with a smaller group of people and it was a coincidence because most of them are Belgian's young girls who are struggling in the group and it's funny because I live in Belgium also as I'm married to one, so we really do you have a great time. The girls were so engaging and enjoying our tour. We enjoyed it so much our guide Max is very helpful and very informative about the history. All the places we've been. I really enjoyed the local market where I bought a lot of authentic Thai delicacies and it was so delicious. After the local market, we went for lunch and taste a very authentic thai dishes, and it was so convivial because all of us are eating together in a big table and it was so much fun. The last step was to explore the small village somewhere in the rice field and the coffee shop also where they make and roast the local coffee and we had a coffee and tea tasting. Luckily the rain started just we are ending our tour so that's just OK and then we went back to the city just about 4 p.m.

Long day but worth it

The first stop in the morning were the hotsprings, not impressive. It's just nice to take a break, see the shops and buy a smoothie before we head to the first temple. The white temple was beautiful. Bring clothes that cover your shoulders and knees, they check before hou go in. nYou have to know that you spend a long time in the van, as discribed. Sadly our van wasn't comfortable. My man his knees didn't fit between his seat and the one in front of him. So it was challenging to find a good position to sit/sleep without bothering other people.nnLunch was included, in the afternoon we got a bottle of water.nAfter that we went to another nice temple and the black house. The last stop was Karens village, you had to pay 300 bath extra if you want to visit it (we read there was not much to see). Only 3 people paid extra, so we had to wait with the rest of the group for 20-30min in the heat. Luckily there was shade and a little shop.nnAfter all we saw a lot, the tour was worth the money!

Get high

It was great. Wonderful value for money and the 1.2km zipline was brilliant. My 10-year-old son and I enjoyed it tremendously, despite the torrential rains in the last 25 minutes LOL. Warm blankets and a hot meal at the end remedied that. Highly recommended.

Donu2019t trust the itinerary

Horrible experience, definitely not what we payed for. Even tho the itinerary was detailed, our tour was definitely not as described. It was cut way too short and one stop was not even the real stop.

Great visit with affordable price!

We had a very nice trip! And a friendly tour guide! Nice view and we get to taste authentic thai food while visiting the White Temple. Affordable price and you get to visit all these popular spots in Chiang Rai in just one day! And you get to enjoy boat trip in the Golden Triangle!! How interesting is that! nnJust one careful reminder, they do drive really fast!!

Amazing class!

The food we cooked was not only delicious bur enough to feed myself for the entire day. Iu2019m vegetarian and our instructor was so accommodating with teaching me substitutions. The farm itself was gorgeous and we were given time to explore it on our own between cooking. Would highly recommend!!!!

Great overview if short on time

Really enjoyable trip. Paphada (Oy) was so friendly and knowledgeable - explaining each temple before I had time to explore on my own. So great to see all the different architecture - they were all beautiful in their own right. Then I got dropped off at the night market to end the day.

Worth it, but lower your expectations

The Golden Triangle portion of this tour was terrible. The guide intensely pressured our group into paying 100bht extra per person to land in Laos and spend 30 minutes in a u201clocal marketu201d and then spent the majority of our boat ride not talking about the history of the Golden Triangle but instead telling us how lucky we were to go on this (paid for) tour and about the discount alcohol, cigarettes, and knock off designer goods available at the u201clocal marketu201d in Laos. And continued this sales pitch in the pouring rain as we struggled to dock. This u201clocal marketu201d was a not yet completed outlet mall. nLess problematic but still odd or unfortunate aspects of this tour: our guideu2019s level of English was barely functional (I ended up going on Wikipedia for site descriptions), dinner was not only not included even though we arrived home at 10pm but consisted of a 15 minute break at a 7/11, the tour had 12 people when max 10 people had been advertised.nnThe Black House Museum has cool architecture but is pretty much just a bunch of taxidermied animals and their skins inside-not interesting. nnBesides the above, our guide was kind, polite, and kept our group on schedule. The hot springs, white temple, and blue temple were amazing, and it was a gorgeous drive. The hill tribe village market was nice. The boat ride was beautiful and seeing Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand simultaneously was incredible. The driver was good and the vehicle was comfortable.

Stunning Temples!

Overall had a great day visiting the 2 temples and the black museum! Very different and unique architecture compared to that of Bangkok. Tour guide was very useful providing information on each of the sites before letting us go off an explore on our own. I would definitely recommend downloading Instagram before visiting the Black Museum, I won't say why...but you'll be impressed. Only downside of this tour was that the drive there and back wasn't amazing, due to the driver driving a bit recklessly and fast. Its a 3 hour trip one way from Chiang Mai and I would have rather the driver took 3 hours and drive without causing me a headache than trying to shave off 15 minutes on the tour. Good thing was we did take a break half way to use the restroom and buy food.

Good experience

Good staffs, nice lunch, easy to travel point A to B by van. The temples are a bit artificial but nice to visit if you stay in Chiang Mai longer.

Long journey but fun and memorable.

Full day with many interesting destinations. Small groups provide more intimacy. Comfortable vehicle, friendly and experienced driver and guide. Pick up on time and drop back off well. Long but fun trip.
