Whilst there was no ‘guide’ our drivers were the guides. They tailored the trip to what we asked for- local market lunch, a couple of temples and some shopping. They were super knowledgeable. The tuk tuk experience is a must

I was very disappointed in the organization of the trip. The tour itself was lovely but the communication lacked greatly. They picked up everyone else for the tour at their hotels like advertised except for my friend and I. Apparently we we weren't picked up because we were not on the side of town everyone else was mind you they never communicated this. If I hadn't phoned them we would've missed the tour because we were waiting in the lobby as advertised. The tour guide was great. The temple beautiful but I would not book another activity with them. They also dropped us off at a drop off and everyone else at their hotels no consideration whatsoever.

Getting from Chiang Mai to Pai was one of the transport details I did not want to arrange at the last minute. The shared minivan with hotel pickup gave me a clear plan from the start and removed the need to reach a separate departure point on my own. Sharing means accepting other travelers and less personal space, but that was reasonable for my budget. It suited a solo traveler who wanted straightforward transport without paying for a private vehicle.

Most people think of temples and cafés when planning Chiang Mai, so a day at Tube Trek gave our group a completely different mood. We chose the thrill side of the water park more often, although it was useful having family-oriented choices when someone wanted a break from the intensity. The day pass meant we did not feel pressured to follow one fixed order. I would go again with friends who like active outings and want something outside the usual Chiang Mai sightseeing list.

Great course — but check the safety claim on their website Excellent day out with our family. The 1,200 m line is genuinely impressive, guides were friendly and attentive, the buffet was fine, transfer well organised. One factual note for future visitors. The website advertises a “New safety line system by COUDOU PRO ‘Triple Safety System’”. We did not encounter this. We were equipped with a standard double lanyard: two separate carabiners that can each be opened independently of the other. That is the normal industry standard and we never felt unsafe — staff handled all clipping and unclipping themselves and were careful about it. But it is not the mechanically interlocked system the website describes, where opening one carabiner physically blocks the other. Worth updating the site so expectations match reality. Would still recommend the course.

Just a cathartic evening of spirituality. Rising above Chiang Mai to witness the majestic grounds of this temple was amazing.
