Part of every booking supports local schools and temples, giving children what they need to learn, grow, and dream. You’ll craft your own Krathong, write wishes on a Lanna lantern and hang it, explore the temple grounds, and share a Thai buffet with traditional performances. Perfect for couples, families, friends, and solo travelers, you can meet at the temple or choose the transfer option. Step into Yi Peng as a welcomed guest, not a spectator. At Wat Champa Lao, you’re invited into a genuine community celebration—far from crowded commercial events. Locals, students, and monks encourage you to craft your own Krathong, release lanterns together, and join traditions your visit helps sustain. A portion of the proceeds supports nearby temples and schools.

Your afternoon begins with a homemade Thai lunch and an introduction to local customs. You’ll create your own Krathong, explore the temple grounds, meet locals, and write wishes on your lanterns.

As evening arrives, enjoy a Thai buffet dinner with herbal drinks while Lanna dancers and students perform. Candle-lighting and prayers lead into the lantern release, with nearly 100 lights rising into the night sky.

The night concludes with floating your Krathong at the river. Whether you meet at the temple or join with transfers, you leave with the quiet joy of being included—carrying a memory that stays long after the lantern light fades.

• Infants and children up to 6 years old can attend at no cost. This includes food, drinks, and participation in all event activities, on the condition that they share a seat with a parent.
• Please be advised that lanterns will not be provided for them.
• Please note that these ticket prices are only for the event happening on November 5-6, 2025.
• Parents are fully responsible for the care and supervision of their children.
• All sales are final. Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged once purchased.
• Drones are strictly prohibited on the event premises.
• Please note that smoking is not allowed at this event, in any of the indoor or outdoor areas.
• Please be advised that bringing outside alcoholic beverages onto the event premises is not permitted.
• The ticket includes two sky lanterns per person, and you are not permitted to bring your own.
• Your pickup location must be finalized during booking. Due to severe traffic congestion in central Chiang Mai, we cannot accommodate same-day changes to the confirmed pickup point. Last-minute alterations will cause delays for the entire group.
• Please expect heavy traffic on the day of the event. The van ride may take longer than usual. Thank you for your patience.
• In the unlikely event of a tour cancellation, you will be notified in advance, and we will offer the choice of an alternative date, a different tour, or a full reimbursement.

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

• For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
• If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
• Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
• Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
• This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
• This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.
