Looking from the far, this rock looks like a giant nail, nailing deep into the seawater. This Tapu island is a very famous tourist spot in Phang Nga. Its beauty brought Hollywood to film their James Bond movie. The Man with the Golden Gun episode here. That is why it got the nickname of “James Bond Island”, where draws on several tours. Another tourist spot here is the Panyee island or floating village.
On this island has many houses laying in the sea where has a small land area is used for building the mosque and graveyards. The islanders are mostly Muslim and build their villages here. The frontal area is the Limestone cliff above the sea. The villagers are fishermen who also sell souvenirs and open many restaurants on this island.
This is one of the most famous tourist spots in the world that many tourists come to visit. In addition to the Tapu island and the Panyee island, there are many interesting spots for tourists in Phang Nga Bay such as Maju mountain, grotto, Panag island, Hong island, and Pingkan island. However, the cruise along the Tapu island has been enforcing some restrictions from the official government. They prohibit the tourists to look too closely at the island because the sunk part of this island is very old where eroded for ages. This eroding rock may cause accidents at any point in time.

A little disorganized and they merge folks into a 40 group tour.
Unlike other tours, there were literally four vans worth of people with just one guide. It wasnu2019t as organized as other tours. We first arrived at the temple amid a bit of chaos. It was raining but we were joined by the second van load of people and were trying to figure out what was going on. After we spent a little time in the temple, we headed over to the boat dock. There we were thrown together with two more vans worth of people. We didnu2019t really understand what was going on but followed to the dock. There was a large long boat for our now group of 40 or so. The sights were nice, but it was a bit stressful and the disorganization compared to other tours weu2019ve been in made the beginning not so great. (I felt ready to just leave.) It ended up ok and the lunch setting at the floating village was nice. I think our guide tried, but seriously, with 40 people, it wasnu2019t fair to put it all on Cindy. I donu2019t know if other tours groups do it better, but of all our tours (and we did at least seven during our time), this was our least favorite.
Good organisation and worthy trip
The tour was perfectly planned. Car perfect on time, very good directions from tour guide Cindy, very good time schedule and activities. The lunch was very good, the canoo-trip a definitive highlight. I would advise everybody who is interested in not-touristic-tours to book here. The communication with oh hoo was not easy, because I couldnu00b4t reach his office on the phone until 5 Minutes before the car came, but I trusted and it worked out. He sent mails, so I knew Iu00b4m on the list.
Don't book with OH-HOO!
I was a guest of the grand centara resort in Krabi, when you book online they state that they can pick you up at your hotel. 1 day before they call me to say that the pick up at my hotel is not included. So I had to contract a private boat to drop my at the Nopparat Thara pier for 1,500 baths and did the same thing on my way back. In total I waste an additional 3,000 bahts. nSince the beginning I also paid an extra to make the canoeing activity in this tour, and they told me many times that this one it was not included as well, at the end I managed to convince the staff but it was a very painful process fighting with the staff all the time.nAnd last but not least, in the online form they donu2019t include the speed boat option, only long tail boat which is less comfortable, I choosed this because I apparently had non option, but when I was there I realized that I could contract the speed boat, I wanted to change to that kind of boat and they did not allow me to change even if I was willing to pay the difference. nnThey even told me, u201cMr. you need to check what you buy, it seems you never pay attention of what you hiredu201d.nEverything besides this fight the tour was good, just try to avoid doing it with OH-HOO travel.
James Bond island day trip disappointing
I read through the details and reviews for this trip as it was not cheap. Firstly it stated no more than 14 and there was 28 on the trip jammed into the boat, the u201ctour guideu201d mickey was really only a co-ordinater and told us nothing about where we were going or any history unlike the other trips going on around us and just seemed to be obsessed with timings! All said and done the islands etc were stunning so would be hard pushed to ruin it!n The canoe ride was fantastic and our local guy who rowed our canoe was brilliant very friendly and took pics for us and explained some history in his broken englishnThe major downside was the lunch Which was included we arrived to the outdoor restaurant to find the food already laid out and had been for some time and was stone cold and having been travelling for four weeks this was the worst meal I have had to date!nnAll in all the sights were good but I wouldnt book this trip through this company as there are many others that can do a better job
a good tour
The air-conditioned van is flawless, even with short-term reservations. We were taken to the Monkey Temple. There are other groups added here. Depart for the harbor to go to James Bond Island. The group size on the boat is pleasant with 14 people. The tour is a classic tour. The tourist guide takes us out of the various stations. Have time to see everything and continue. Of course, the James Bond island is full of diverse groups, so be careful. Lunch is a good and tasty menu.

Horrible expu00e9rience!! Mon conjoint et moi sommes tru00e8s du00e9u00e7us du du00e9roulement! Les heures indiquu00e9es sur la description de l'activitu00e9 ne sont pas les mu00eames rendu sur place! Nous avons fait 30minutes du Monkey Cave, un tour de canou00eb de 25min, 45min sur l'u00eele de James Bond et 1h pour manger sur Panyee Island. Premiu00e8rement, le guide n'expliquer rien des places que l'on visite. Il sert seulement u00e0 chronomu00e8trer chaque activitu00e9. Tout est pru00e9cipitu00e9 et stressant. Par exemple, le guide criait au conducteur du bateau de partir de l'u00eele James Bond, mu00eame s'il manquait 3 personnes. Les amis de ces derniers ont ru00e9ussi a retenir le bateau. Nous u00e9tions tous sous le choc, que le guide puisse abandonnu00e9 des membres de son groupe. Deuxiu00e8mement, nous pensions faire du canou00eb d'une fau00e7on autonome. Au lieu de cela, un employu00e9 ramait derriu00e8re en nous ru00e9pu00e9tant qu'il voulait du pourboires en boucle. C'u00e9tait tru00e8s du00e9sagru00e9able et inconfortable, mu00eame si ca allait de soi qu'on allait lui donne un tip. Le trajet en minibus, aller-retour est de 4h00. Finalement, le point fort de ce tour est que le minibus te du00e9pose devant ton hu00f4tel.

El guu00eda con muy malas formas siempre, la excursion fue bonita porque la propia isla de James Bond es preciosa pero lo tienen fatal organizado. Muy a corridas, apenas Dan tiempo a poder disfrutar del entorno, malas formas del guu00eda. No lo recomendaru00eda
Attrape touriste
Alors par quoi commencer.. Du00e9ju00e0 le descriptif de lu2019activitu00e9 est erronu00e9e, 2h de trajet depuis AoNang pour arriver a la monkey cave. Ce temple est minuscule et ne vaut pas du tout le du00e9tour. Ensuite du00e9part pour koh panyee en bateau, puis du00e9jeuner (qui est vraiment pas bon). Du00e9part pour la james bond island et cu2019est la que le pire est u00e0 venir. Lu2019u00eele nu2019est pas comme sur certaines photos.. il est impossible de su2019y baigner et on a presque du mal u00e0 circuler vu le monde. nBref 50u20ac pour strictement rien cu2019est tru00e8s tru00e8s chu00e8re payu00e9. nA FUIR

Buenas tardes, queru00eda hacer referencia a varias situaciones que tuvimos en la excursiu00f3n del du00eda de hoy, en primer lugar nos pasaron a recoger por el hotel 30 minutos mu00e1s tarde de lo acordado, la camioneta que nos vino a retirar estaba en condiciones deplorables con el aire acondicionado que no andaba (enkrabi hace 32u00b0 de temperatura) y luego, no tenu00eda todos los asientos con cinturu00f3n de seguridad ni tampoco cortinas para la protecciu00f3n del sol, en ningu00fan momento nos avisaron de que tenu00edamos un trayecto de 2 hs en combi hasta el inicio de la excursiu00f3n, en nuestra combi solamente se encontraba el conductor que dicho sea de paso manejaba de manera como si fuera un animal, de manera muy imprudente, no habu00eda ningu00fan refrigerio ni siquiera paru00f3 en esas dos horas para poder ir al bau00f1o, cuando llegamos al puerto de partida nadie nos indicaba para donde nos tenu00edamos que dirigir, hasta que llegu00f3 otra combi con una persona que decu00eda ser el guu00eda y ahu00ed nos informu00f3 a donde nos dirigu00edamos, de ahu00ed nos dirigimos a la isla de James bond, la cual es una hermosa experiencia, pero en el barco de navegaciu00f3n ru00e1pida no habu00eda ningu00fan refrigerio, agua, ni siquiera alguien encargado de poder asistirnos para subir y bajar de la marcaciu00f3n, A la hora del almuerzo nos llevaron hasta un sitio donde es un reservorio de elefantes en la cual habu00eda un restaurant que no estaban prendidos los aire acondicionados y habu00eda solamente dos ventiladores en los cuales no sentaron a todos juntos en una misma mesa y nos dieron para tomar un agua mineral de 350 cmu00b3 calienta, Ya que el objetivo de ellos era poder vendernos gaseosas y aguas que se encontraban en una heladera que estaba al lado de nuestra mesa, en este momento mi seu00f1ora se da cuenta de que tenu00eda por la posibilidad de hacer un trekking con elefantes en ese mismo lugar, se lo consultamos al guu00eda que nos cobru00f3 de manera exuberante a lo que estaba la excursiu00f3n 800 Bath sin darnos Ticket alguno Y fue su00f3lo un paseo arriba de elefantes en mal estado que duraba 15 minutos, en el paseo mismo nos tomaron una foto que cuando terminu00f3 el recorrido queru00edamos comprarla ya que es el objetivo del paseo porque no he dejan tomar fotos por tus propios medios y el guu00eda nos ordenu00f3 subir a la combi porque no tenu00edamos tiempo y habu00eda que seguir con la excursiu00f3n, ya que Deberu00edamos dirigirnos a una cascada que era lo que seguu00eda en el recorrido, al llegar a la cascada la cual es espantosa, insignificante, de un olor nauseabundo y una suciedad absoluta. nEn el trayecto de regreso al hotel nuevamente nuestro conductor manejo absolutamente de manera imprudente y no se detuvo ni siquiera cinco minutos para poder comprar un refrigerio o poder ir al bau00f1o, espero por favor puedan cambiar de operador o puedan darme alguna soluciu00f3n ya que perdimos un du00eda de nuestras vacaciones en una excursiu00f3n que saliu00f3 bastante onerosa y fue una experiencia absolutamente frustrante. nEspero una respuesta pronta.nnSaludos
